Cannabinoids (CBD) is one among the many chemicals found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, which is a psychoactive chemical, it does not have the ability to give one a ‘high.’ That being said, CBD does have numerous advantages. CBD has a lot of medicinal qualities which are used in various forms including ointments, tinctures and oils. The biggest advantage of using the medicinal qualities of CBD is that it is organic in nature.

Over the years CBD oils have been found to be very helpful in pain relief. The system of the human body that holds responsibility in pain management is known as the endocannabinoid system. CBD oil helps by having an influence on the receptors of this system, which helps in pain relief by reducing inflammation. In fact, CBD oil has been found to be helpful for various kinds of pain including chronic pains, arthritis pains and migraine pains.

The benefits of CBD oil for arthritis pain relief was studied through an experiment on rats with arthritis. Applying CBD on the area affected by arthritis showed a reduction in inflammation after four days. Further, there were no side effects found from applying the CBD oil. Nonetheless, there is still more room for research on humans to further confirm the results.

CBD oils have also been found to be useful to people who have acute migraine pains. While this is still something that is being further researched, in a two-phase experiment in 2017, it was found that when given 200mg of a compound of CBD and THC, acute pain from migraine reduced for 55% of the participants. It was also found that this compound of CBD and THC helped people who had a history of cluster headaches from their childhood as well.

There was also nothing to suggest that the tolerance to the compound increases over time, this resulting in a steady increase of dosage.

For general chronic pains, like those of the back, there is substantial evidence to claim that CBD oil is extremely helpful. For adults who have developed chronic pain, CBD is effective in helping in the control of the pain. The conclusions were drawn after multiple systematic studies were conducted and reviewed. It led to the conclusion that cannabinoids (especially in the form of oils) is a good and organic alternative in chronic pain relief.

CBD oils have also been found to help in controlling and dealing with symptoms of multiple sclerosis. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune problem which impacts the entire body via nerves and brains. One of the most common and painful symptoms of multiple sclerosis is muscle spasms that come with it. CBD oils have been found to help in the reduction of the muscle spasms. While it hasn’t been found to completely stop it, it does make the spasms more manageable. While this has been concluded through a few reports, there is the need of further research to completely verify this information.

CBD oils also come to an advantage when it comes to pain management due to cancer treatment. The treatment of cancer through chemotherapy is an extremely painful process since it comes with a lot of side effects. The National Institute of Cancer (NCI) has found that CBD can be helpful in managing these side effects. The pain that comes with chemotherapy can be controlled and reduced with CBD oils.

While there is still a lot more research that needs to be done on the uses and advantages of CBD oils for pain management and relief, research has shown that it has a lot of potential. In ancient times, marijuana was a natural solution known to cure a lot of problems including anxiety, pain management and help with sleep. While there are risks with using marijuana without knowing its complete contents, the component of CBD has been gaining a lot of spotlight in the last few years. It has been found to have the potential to help with pain management and pain relief, without the risk and fear of causing a high. The most important thing to know when it comes to using CBD in any form is understanding what exactly goes into the making of it and what its side effects might be for the individual. Armed with that knowledge, CBD oils have the immense potential to help with multiple kinds of pain.
